it's official!

After so many school absences for both of our older kids the past 2 years, and much prayer on the subject, our family has decided to homeschool next year.  I've been looking at this curriculum...well, for about 7 years* since I first used it with Micah for preschool.  I don't think we've ever been so eager for a school year to end and a new one to begin!!

*I recalculated and really, it's been 8 years.  How is that even possible??

I'm so thankful for all the questions you've helped answer, Beth! I know there will be many more and am glad homeschooling is one of your favorite subjects. :) Wish we still lived down the street from each other...we'd have our own little co-op!

Good for you! What Sonlight year are you starting with? I think it was 7 that we did and loved.

We are starting with Core 5, this year renamed Core F, I think--the Eastern Hemisphere. I'm intrigued that this is something the kids would probably never study anywhere else, and hope our peek at these cultures will increase our burden for that part of the world. I'm looking forward to what is up after that--world history and American history although I'm not sure how I'll cram that all in before Micah hits high school. :) I'm glad to hear you enjoyed 7!!
