Transformation

The dining room/study before....

and after!!

The family room before...

and after!!!

I can explain this one, really! Last summer, Josiah couldn't take a bottle without a fight due to reflux. This summer, he is chug-a-lugging a glass of water. Hurray!! We think this is the best transformation of all.

We're here!!!

As you can see, we like to start our kids on a good work ethic while they are still young.

There's nothing like a good squirt gun fight to keep things livened up.

Holly wouldn't come down from the shelf until Eric helped her. After that, her adjustment to the new house was very quick.

It's been fun!! We did get a lot of work done. A big thank you to those who helped in any and every way. Watch for updates!!!!

Goodbye, Kingsridge Drive; Hello, Jenny Lind!!

This morning Micah came bouncing into my bedroom, hands clasped together and eyes gleaming. "Tomorrow we start to move, tomorrow we start to move!" he chanted. "Mom, I'm sad, glad, anxious and excited all at the same time."

We all are!! We've spent over a year getting our house ready to sell, then the past 6 weeks packing. It's hard to believe the time of transition is almost over. When I started packing the kitchen yesterday, it did start to seem more real. Our cupboards are bare!! However, unlike Old Mother Hubbard, I can find you some food if I open a box...

It's exciting to think of the changes ahead, but that's exactly what makes me anxious as well...change. Not only are we moving, but in the next couple of weeks school lets out, summer arrives, and our whole schedule will change. I love summer and expect to fully embrace it, but it's a lot to adjust to at once. I told Eric last night to expect to find me crumpled in a heap of tears in a week or two, and to just reassure me that this too, shall pass.

Jenny Lind, here we come!!! We'll arrive with plenty of kleenex. Don't take it personally. We really can't wait!

Toothless Wonder

My apologies to Junie B. Jones for stealing the title from one of her books! Rachel has lost her first "top" tooth. She sooo wanted her first grade teacher to pull one this year, and got her wish this time around!!! Doesn't she have a beautiful smile?

Cyclone Relief

Concern for the people affected by the cyclone in Myanmar is heavy on my heart. I learned this morning the area has a large Christian population. For more information and ways to help, one great website to check is www.samaritanspurse.org. Please pray that God would open doors to provide relief.
